Helpful Hints on Filing the FAFSA

  • Don't wait until you have been accepted for Admissions. File your Free Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as you apply for Admission.
  • File online and save a lot of time.
  • The Federal code for The Culinary Institute of America is 007304.
  • Since we do not have graduate programs, you are not a graduate student while attending the CIA at Greystone, even if you already have a degree. If you do have a prior degree, your status (on the FAFSA) is "1st year, attended before".
  • The results of your FAFSA will be sent tot the CIA Hyde Park campus, where your file will be reviewed and an Award Letter sent.
