Get a taste of what professional and aspiring chefs learn at the CIA by attending one of our public California cooking demonstrations. The CIA's DeBaun Theatre comes to life throughout the week with live cooking demos performed by the school's renowned chef-instructors. The one-hour cooking demonstrations and tastings feature recipes that reflect the seasonal flavors of the Napa Valley wine country and products at their peak in the market. Recipes presented change every three to four days, so you'll want to attend our California cooking demonstrations again and again. View our cooking demonstration calendar for a sneak peek.


Enhance Your Visit to the Napa Valley: Attend a California Cooking Demonstration at Greystone

  • Monday & Friday: 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  • Saturday & Sunday: 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
  • No public demonstrations are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
  • Please call 707-967-2320 to verify scheduled times and topics.

All cooking demonstrations are held at the CIA at Greystone in St. Helena CA.

Tickets and Reservations
Tickets are $15.00 per person (tax included) and are available for purchase on the day of the cooking demonstration at The Spice Island Marketplace. Reservations are available online or by telephone at 707-967-2320.

For groups of six or more, we require a credit card to hold your demonstration reservation. Your credit card is used as a form of guarantee and only to hold your reservation and will not be charged. Please call us at 707-967-2320. We will call to confirm at least 48 hours prior to your reservation. In the event that we are unable to reach you, we ask that you call or e-mail us to confirm your reservation.

Please plan on arriving 10 minutes prior to your scheduled demonstration reservation time. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your reservation, in consideration of other guests, we ask you attend the next available cooking demonstration.
