CIA Student Clubs and Activities—There’s Something for Everyone!
Author Annie B. Milostan ’25 is a Baking and Pastry Arts major.
Every semester CIA hosts its annual Club Con. This is a great way to see what our New York campus has to offer outside of the kitchens and academic classes. CIA student clubs* and activities play a vital role in fostering community and engagement within our school. We have 22 clubs on campus and counting…
What I love about each of these clubs is that anyone can attend meetings or events they have. All CIA student clubs host events on campus and sometimes even off campus as well.
Just this month, the Culinary Christian Club went apple picking with students at a local apple farm for a fun fall event, Hospitality Club threw a fashion show to start off the semester. For Hispanic Heritage Month the Hermanos Sin Fronteras club threw a Latin-inspired “block party” outside the freshman dorm with traditional food from each country, as well as a raffle for some fun prizes! Students lined up all the way around the building to attend this beautiful and fun event. SPICE organizes so many events on campus but one that everyone loves is First Fridays, this happens every first Friday of the month—we have magicians, comedians, and musicians come out and preform, the 150 students get free nachos or a free souvenir that SPICE gives.
Check out our current list of clubs.
*Every semester we add more clubs, so if you don’t see a club that sparks your interest you can try and add it to our club list!
