Once a month here at the New York campus we take a trip with the students to a fun off-campus event. Each event costs no more than $20 and they are packed with activities. Every year, CIA plans a trip to see the Radio City Rockettes and 50 lucky students get to go. The ticket sale started at 1 p.m., however students started lining up at six in the morning.

The morning of the trip we got on a bus at 9 a.m. for the 2 p.m. show, once we got to the city, we had roughly an hour and a half to grab food before getting in line for the show. I remember as a little girl loving to watch the Rockettes in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, so this was a dream come true and another amazing experience to cross off my bucket list!

Every detail of this show blew my mind, and words cannot describe just how much my inner child loved it! Every scene was filled with amazing dancers, singers, and backdrops. My personal favorite was the Ice Fairy number, they had little animatronic fairies flying through the theatre. The dances were just perfect in every way possible. It definitely put me in the holiday spirit, and I know all of the students that came along with us on this trip felt the same way.
