CIA California Counseling and Psychological Support

The Counseling and Psychological Support (CAPS) office provides confidential personal counseling to CIA students, free of charge. Services include:

  • Individual counseling or “talk therapy”;
  • Crisis intervention, support, and educational programs; and
  • Referrals to specialized services off-campus, with coordination of care.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. when classes are in session (closed during summer and winter breaks)

Confidentiality and Trust

CIA therapists abide by California laws and professional ethics to ensure that students’ personal information is protected. CAPS visits are not part of a student’s academic record.
