Understanding Your Financial Aid for College
Your CIA education is an investment in your future as a food industry professional. It’s important to know how you’re spending every dollar. These online tools will help you get a better idea of how much money you’ll need.
Net Price Calculator
The Net Price Calculator provides the estimated net price information for one year’s education. It includes the cost of attendance—such as tuition and fees, books and supplies, room and board, and related expenses—minus the grant and scholarship aid.
This calculator considers:
- Your parents’ financial situation (typically for students under 24 years old)
- Your financial situation
- Your merit information
- GPA and standardized test scores
As you use this calculator, please keep in mind:
- Using this tool is not a substitute for applying to the CIA or for financial aid.
- Results are only as reliable as the data you provide.
- CIA Student Financial and Registration Services has the final word on your financial aid award.
- To be considered for a need-based financial aid award, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We recommend you file the FAFSA at least five to six months prior to the CIA enrollment season for which you are applying.
